HOW TO BECOME A CONTESTANT
Hello Future Contestant!  We are ecstatic you have expressed interest in competing in Motor Speedway Pageants.  Request an application and info by emailing an application request to jacksonfog@msn.com.  Please provide the division (MISS or TEEN), and state you are interested in representing.  Also provide contact info (name, telephone, and email address), and submit a headshot via email.  Contestants are accepted on a first come basis. 


ELIGIBILITY

MISS & TEEN Contestants
Must provide proof of age (Valid State ID or Birth Certificate)

MISS          Contestants ages 19-27
TEEN        Contestants ages 14-18

JR'S          Contestants ages 10-12
               

v     Must be single, never married, nor given birth to a child
 
v Must be born female and a U.S. Citizen


 v       Must not have been convicted of a felony crime and must be of good health and display moral 
       character in school and community
 
v 
Winners of a state or national pageant, who receive prize packages, cannot get married or become pregnant during their reign.  If so, all prizes must be returned and title forfeited.

Contestant must never have, nor will she during her reign, pose for any photography, video, or film associated with any nudity or pornography.  She will not post inappropriate photos on My Space, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, or Message boards.  Nor has she ever or is presently involved in any form of employment which involves partial or complete nudity.  She may not marry or become pregnant during her reign.  If these rules are broken the contestant will forfeit her title and prizes.  All prizes will be returned.  Cash prize must be used as scholarships, or entry fee assistance to another pageant system. 

Motor Speedway State Titleholder Prelim Winners (does not apply to At Large State/Region Titleholders)  The definition of a State Titleholder Prelim Winner is a contestant who has won a state Motor Speedway prelim that she will represent at the national pageant.
 v State titleholders are asked to make select appearances in her residing state 
     v She will volunteer  and make appearances at select race/community service events in her   
              state unless invited by the Motor Speedway Pageant Organization to do otherwise.  
    v State titleholders who do not have a race track in their residing state, will be invited to   
             attend select races/events in neigboring states.  Some races/events may be out of her residing state, so it is   
             her choice, to choose to attend out of state events.
    v    Some select races/events are mandatory.  Titleholders are provided with a schedule of upcoming events to
            prevent schedule conflicts.
    v    State titleholders may hold state title and compete in another pageant system of choice, but only allowed to 
            compete in the pageant system the Miss Motor Speedway Organization pays your entry fee into.  Titleholder agrees to represent the title of Motor Speedway in their state pageant if state pageant allows the Motor Speedway title to be represented.
    v All state titleholders agree to represent their state in the National Miss/Teen Motor Speedway®
 Pageant.  As part of state prize package, Motor Speedway Pageants will pay an entry fee to another pageant system of choice. 
  Cash Prize may be used as a scholarship. The college attending must be provided, and cash prize must be paid to the educational institution, or pageant system director of the pageant contestant chooses to compete in.  

At Large Motor Speedway State/Region Titleholders (Applies to all At Large State /Region Titleholders.  The definition of an At Large State/Region Titleholder means you are competing in the national pageant at large representing a state or region title and did not win a state Motor Speedway Prelim)

     * At Large State/Region Titleholders are asked to make select appearances in her residing state 
     *At Large State/Region Titleholders will volunteer  and make appearances at select race/community service events in her   
              state unless invited by the Motor Speedway Pageant Organization to do otherwise.  
    *At Large State/Region Titleholders who do not have a race track in their residing state, will be invited to   
             attend select races/events in neigboring states.  Some races/events may be out of her residing state, so it is   
             her choice, to choose to attend out of state events.
    *Some select races/events are mandatory.  At Large State Titleholders are provided with a schedule of upcoming events to
            prevent schedule conflicts.
    * At Large State/Region Titleholders may hold a state title and compete in another pageant system of choice after competing in national Motor Speedway competition.  She agrees to represent the title of Motor Speedway in their state pageant if
          state pageant allows a title to be represented.
    *All At Large State titleholders agree to represent their state in the National Miss/Teen Motor Speedway®
       Pageant.  

   
  Motor Speedway National Titleholders (does not apply to State Motor Speedway Titleholder Prelim Winners, or At Large State/Region Titleholders)
 v National title holders are asked to make select appearances throughout the United States and will be the official         
             spokeswoman of the  Motor Speedway Pageants.  
     v National title holders make appearances at select events/races in all states.  Some select  events/races and 
             community  service events are mandatory.  Titleholders are provided with a schedule of upcoming events to prevent 
             schedule conflicts.  All travel expenses to appearances, meals, and lodging are provided by Motor Speedway Pageants.
 
 v
National title holders may not ncompete in another pageant system, while holding the national Motor Speedway title.

COMPETITION CATEGORIES
Each contestant will compete in four phases of competition:  

NO PRIVATE INTERVIEW OR TALENT REQUIRED

Fashion Wear 25%
Swimsuit 25%,    (JUNIORS wear fitness wear)
Evening Gown 25%
 
On-stage Question 25% (TOP 5 only)
(JUNIORS do not have on-stage question)

At the completion of Prelim Fashion Wear, Swimsuit, and Evening Gown a TOP 15 will be chosen during the Final Competition.  WE DO NOT RANK. After Prelims a TOP 15 will be chosen based on the TOP 15 highest overall scores.  The TOP 15 will compete during the Final night of competition.  After the TOP 15 competition, a TOP 5 will be announced from the TOP 5 overall scores.  The TOP 5 will answer an on-stage question.  The runner-ups will be announced and a new Miss, Teen, &  Junior Motor Speedway® will be crowned. 

JUDGING CRITERIA
Scoring is based on the following criteria:

FASHION WEAR:  Your fashion wear should be today's fashion trends.  It should reflect your personality, creativity, and individuality.  Please do not dress up as a race girl.  You may choose your own outfit and props are allowed.  This is something you would wear to look and feel your best in.  Each contestant is evaluated on overall impression, flare, energy, charisma, personal creativity, and individuality.

SWIMSUIT:  (FITNESS WEAR for JUNIORS only) You may choose a swimsuit of your choice (1 or 2 piece).  Color will be decided for each division and will be provided via email.  Please make sure your swimsuit is tasteful (NO THONGS).  Each contest is evaluated on overall impression, physical fitness, and stage presence.

EVENING GOWN:
  You may choose an evening gown of your choice.  Each contestant is evaluated on overall first impression, grace, poise,  stage presence, and the confidence with which she carries herself.


ONSTAGE QUESTION:  (JUNIORS do not compete in this category) The TOP 15 Finalist will each have a final on-stage question.  Each Finalist is evaluated on confidence with answer provided, the expression of answer provided, and the knowledge of question being asked.  Can she think fast on her feet?
